H-Y Tech has developed and implemented a QA/QC program that conforms to the criteria established in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations 10 CFR, Appendix B, and Quality Assurance Criteria for Nuclear Power Plants and Fuel Reprocessing Plants.

Quality

H-Y Tech follows the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Quality Assurance Standard NQA-1-1994 and 2008, and the Quality Assurance Program Requirements for Nuclear Facilities, including supplements as revised by the ASME NQA-1a-1995 and 2009 Addenda in order to meet the criteria of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B. The H-Y Tech program also satisfies the regulatory requirements of 10 CFR 830, Sub Part A “Quality Assurance Criteria,” and DOE O 414.1C, “Quality Assurance”.

NQA-1 is a quality standard approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) which provides requirements and guidelines for the establishment

and execution of quality assurance programs during design, construction, operation, and decom-missioning of nuclear facilities. This standard reflects industry experience and current understanding of quality assurance requirements necessary to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient utilization of nuclear energy. The standard focuses on the achievement of results by emphasizing the role of the individual and line management in the achievement of quality. It also fosters the application of these requirements in a manner consistent with the relative importance of the item or activity. The designation of NQA-1 approved was given to H-Y Tech after comprehensive internal customer audits.
